AI behavior in gaming haven't really evolved since Half Life 2 while it definitely takes more computing power than a console can handle to generate 100 of intelligent AIs, one can still hope for some smokes and mirrors / developer wizardry from BI to generate better AI in reforger. Obviously, the cynic in me tells me that these animations are all scripted just for the trailer, but better AI would be the biggest selling point. The AI isn't just crouching or standing behind an object, but actually attempts to "hide" behind cover.ĪIs moving their head around/turning/walking backwards all very naturally while on a patrolĪIs freaking out when a friendly walks over and blows up a landmine.
